Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) Workshops for Parents

ABA workshops increase the capacity of the caregiver to understand and implement ABA methods in order to effectively impact the child’s skill development.

ABA Parent Education Workshops provide families who have children/youth with an Autism Spectrum Disorder with information on:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Applied Behaviour Analysis
  • Strategies to manage challenging behaviours and to increase or improve skills.

Workshop activities include:

  • Oral and visual presentations (e.g. power point, demonstration videos)
  • Group exercises
  • Hands-on practice in the application of concepts and methods
  • Homework and review
  • Troubleshooting


ABA workshops are available in the Sudbury, Manitoulin, Algoma, Thunder Bay and Kenora/Rainy River Districts to parents/caregivers (grandparents, respite workers etc.) who care for a child with confirmed ASD diagnosis.

How to Get Started

Registration forms are sent to parents when the child is referred to CCR. For more information please contact CCR in your district.
