Multiplayer Mode: A Social Gaming Club

About

This social group is designed for young pre-teens with autism who have an interest in video and board games.
Through facilitated gameplay and guided interactions, participants will develop essential social, communication, and problem-solving skills. The group provides a safe and supportive environment where children can connect with peers, practice teamwork, and learn emotional regulation strategies while engaging in cooperative and interactive video/board game experiences. Sessions will include structured gaming activities, and social skills teaching, -as well as lots of fun!! Learning objectives include turn-taking and cooperation, communication, emotion regulation and frustration tolerance, problem-solving and flexible thinking, perspective-taking and social awareness, sportsmanship, and self-advocacy.

This service is not intended for… Children/youth with aggression, self-injurious behavior, or property destruction that requires specialized interventions beyond the scope of this service.
