Youth Game and Pizza Party night is an opportunity for youths 12- 16 with ASD to socialize with other youth, make new friends, and play some fun games. Caregivers are asked to stay and participate. Pizza dinner and games will be provided.

Family Meet and Greet is an opportunity for families with children with ASD ages 0-18 to spend a few hours socializing, having fun, and meeting with other autism families while creating and exploring activities and games. Pizza dinner and refreshments will be provided.

All abilities welcome.

Sibshops is an opportunity for those who have a sibling with an ASD diagnosis. Sibshops is not therapy, but rather a venue for sibs to have fun, laugh, talk about the good and not-so-good parts, play some great games, learn something about the services/diagnosis of their brothers or sisters, and have some more fun. This session includes snacks and lunch.

Sibshops is not therapy, but rather a venue for sibs to have fun, laugh, talk about the good and not-so-good parts, play some great games, learn something about the services/diagnosis of their brothers or sisters, and have some more fun. This session includes snacks and lunch.

Practice and boost social skills through our fun and active March Break Social Skills. Skills that will be focused on include:
- Sportsmanship
- Taking turns
- Sharing
- Compromising

Following a 1-hour consultation meeting with our on-site BCBA, your child will receive 6 hours of 1:1 follow up service/caregiver coaching with our clinical team, at our center, for up to 4 weeks. Session dates and times will be arranged with each individual family.

This program uses a collaborative approach to provide caregivers with the tools they need to prevent challenging behaviours from worsening. Participants will also be equipped with the skills needed to support their children to develop communication and coping strategies in the home environment.

This workshop will provide caregivers with a practical introduction to some of the core principles of ABA that they can use to meet some of their child’s needs at home. There will also be an opportunity for caregivers to gain information and ask questions regarding the service landscape of the different services that are using an ABA approach with children in Thunder Bay.

This workshop provides an opportunity to learn Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) strategies to teach your child play skills that increase and promote language. Teaching communication skills and expanding your child’s language through play increases skill development across many areas maximizing learning opportunities. There are six individual consults with a BCBA-D included with this workshop. These consultations are individualized specific to implement the strategies reviewed at the workshop with your child.

This workshop will outline strategies on reducing transition related challenging behaviours. We will review how to establish positive rapport, specific steps to cue your child of upcoming changes, strategies when advance notice is viable and ways to prevent and deescalate behaviour. The aim of this workshop is to share strategies that are aimed at reducing challenging behaviours, as a whole.

This workshop has two group sessions across two months with four follow up individual sessions with a BCBA-D

Sibshops Is not therapy, but rather a venue for sibs to have fun, talk about the good and not-so-good parts, play games, learn something about the services/ diagnosis of their brothers or sisters, and have some more fun.

Sibshops is an opportunity for those who have a siblings win an ASD diagnosis led by our certified and experienced Sibshops Facilitators. Sibshops Is not therapy, but rather a venue for sibs to have fun, talk about the good and not-so-good parts, play games, learn something about the services/ diagnosis of their brothers or sisters, and have some more fun. This session is open to those 9-12 years of age.

This service is an early communication social group - the small group will focus on the early stages of social interactions (paralell play, turn taking, responding to greetings), alongside communication skills developed through play (requesting, referencing others, and imitation). Each learner will have individualized goals specific to their needs that are measured at each session.

This service is intended for those ages 9-18 years of age.

This workshop is designed to provide caregivers with the tools they need to support their young child on the journey to toileting success. Beginning with a group-based workshop that will empower caregivers with the foundational skills they need to get started, families will then have the opportunity to meet with an instructor therapist and a behaviour analyst on an individual basis to ask specific questions about how their child is progressing. By the end of the program, caregivers will understand how a consistent approach, visual cues and positive reinforcement can be used to foster routines to enable their child to succeed.

Our Brief Social Skills Consultation uses Clinically Supervised Progressive ABA to support social skill development. This service includes; individual intake and target determination, 12 hours of skill building services, an individualized schedule, and summary report.

This workshop is designed to support caregivers to prepare children to develop healthy responses to limits and boundaries in response to being denied access to an item or activity. Caregivers will be taught techniques that will foster resilience and while encouraging their child to be able to accept "no".

This program uses a collaborative model to provide participants with the tools they need to support their children in trying new foods while limiting problem behaviours or emotional responses during meal time. Individualized sessions are offered to address specific behaviours that may be impacting a child's willingness to eat a variety of foods.
